Program Overview
The I DEY VOTE Rewards Program is designed to incentivize meaningful civic participation in Nigeria's democratic process. Every action you take — from voting in daily polls to verifying community reports — earns you points that convert directly to Nigerian Naira (₦) and can be withdrawn to your verified bank account.
1 Point = ₦1 Naira. There are no hidden fees, no conversion tricks, and no minimum balance traps. What you earn is what you get.
We believe that citizens who invest their time in holding leaders accountable, reporting community issues, and engaging with governance should be compensated fairly. This is not a giveaway — it is payment for civic labour.
How You Earn Points
Points are awarded for specific, verifiable actions on the platform. Each action has a fixed point value and may be subject to daily caps to ensure fair distribution and prevent abuse.

Daily Maximum: You can earn up to 1,000 points (₦1,000) per day through combined activities. Once you hit the daily cap, further actions will still count toward your Civic Score but will not earn additional points until the next day.
Withdrawals & Payments
When you are ready to cash out your earnings, the process is straightforward and transparent. We process withdrawals directly to your verified Nigerian bank account.
Withdrawal Rules
- Minimum withdrawal: ₦500. You must have at least 500 points in your wallet to request a payout.
- Maximum withdrawal: ₦50,000 per transaction. For larger balances, split into multiple requests.
- Processing time: Standard withdrawals take 24–48 hours. Express withdrawals (same day) attract a ₦50 processing fee deducted from the withdrawal amount.
- Bank account: Must match the name on your I DEY VOTE profile. Mismatched names will be rejected automatically for fraud prevention.
- Weekly limit: You can withdraw up to ₦100,000 per calendar week.
- Monthly limit: You can withdraw up to ₦300,000 per calendar month.
Security Note: We will never ask for your ATM PIN, OTP, or online banking password. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from I DEY VOTE and requests these details, report them immediately.
Account Verification & KYC
To withdraw earnings, you must complete our Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This is a legal requirement under Nigerian financial regulations and protects the platform from fraudulent activity.
Required for Withdrawal
- Full Name — Must match your bank account name exactly.
- Phone Number — Verified via OTP.
- State & LGA — Confirmed during registration.
- Bank Account Number (NUBAN) — 10-digit account number for payout.
- Bank Name — Select from our supported banks list.
Optional (Higher Limits)
- PVC (Permanent Voter Card) — Upload photo of front and back. Grants +500 points and increases weekly withdrawal limit to ₦150,000.
- NIN (National Identity Number) — Upload NIN slip or virtual card. Grants +300 points and increases monthly withdrawal limit to ₦500,000.
- Bank Verification Number (BVN) — Linked automatically when you add your bank account.
All uploaded documents are encrypted at rest and transmitted over TLS 1.3. We do not share your identity documents with third parties except where required by law.
Earning Caps & Anti-Abuse
To maintain the integrity of the rewards program and prevent gaming, we enforce strict caps and monitoring systems.
Daily Caps
- Hard Cap: 1,000 points (₦1,000) per day across all activities.
- Soft Cap: Actions beyond the daily cap still contribute to your Civic Score and leaderboard ranking but do not earn additional points.
- Reset Time: Daily caps reset at midnight WAT (West Africa Time).
Anti-Abuse Measures
- Duplicate Detection: Multiple accounts from the same device, IP, or BVN are flagged and suspended.
- Bot Detection: Automated voting, rapid-fire actions, or scripted behaviour triggers immediate account review.
- Case Quality: Civic cases reported without evidence or with false information are rejected and may result in point deductions.
- Verification Integrity: Verifying cases you have not physically confirmed is a violation. Random spot-checks are conducted.
- Referral Fraud: Referring fake accounts or self-referring via multiple emails/phones results in permanent ban and forfeiture of all earnings.
Zero Tolerance: Fraudulent activity including botting, fake referrals, false case reports, or identity misrepresentation will result in permanent account termination, forfeiture of all earned points, and potential legal action where financial loss to the platform is established.
Point Expiry & Account Dormancy
- Point Expiry: Points do not expire as long as your account remains active. An active account is defined as logging in at least once every 90 days.
- Dormancy: If you do not log in for 90 consecutive days, your account is classified as dormant. Points remain in your wallet but you must re-verify your phone number to reactivate withdrawals.
- Account Closure: If you choose to close your account, any remaining points are forfeited and cannot be recovered. We recommend withdrawing your balance before closing your account.
- Platform Termination: If I DEY VOTE ceases operations, all outstanding balances will be paid out to verified accounts within 30 days of announcement.
Taxes & Legal
Your earnings on I DEY VOTE may be subject to Nigerian tax law. It is your responsibility to report income as required by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
- I DEY VOTE does not withhold taxes at source unless legally mandated to do so.
- We reserve the right to issue tax documentation (e.g., payment summaries) upon request or where required by law.
- Rewards are classified as "miscellaneous income" and you should consult a tax professional for personal advice.
- By participating in the rewards program, you agree that I DEY VOTE is not liable for your personal tax obligations.

The withdrawal will be automatically rejected. You must update your profile name to match your bank account exactly, or use a bank account that matches your registered name. This is a non-negotiable anti-fraud measure.
There is no catch. I DEY VOTE is funded by advertising revenue, sponsored polls, and partnerships with civil society organisations. A portion of this revenue is redistributed to citizens as an incentive for democratic participation. The more engaged our community, the more valuable the platform becomes to advertisers and partners.
Currently, the rewards program is only available to Nigerian citizens and residents with a verified Nigerian bank account. Diaspora Nigerians can participate in polls and cases but cannot withdraw earnings unless they have a Nigerian bank account.
We support all Nigerian banks with NUBAN accounts: Access Bank, GTBank, UBA, First Bank, Zenith Bank, FCMB, Fidelity Bank, Sterling Bank, Wema Bank, Polaris Bank, Unity Bank, Keystone Bank, Heritage Bank, Providus Bank, SunTrust Bank, and all microfinance banks on the NIBSS network.
