Our Mission

I DEY VOTE was built on a simple, powerful idea: democracy should not be a once-every-four-years event. It should be a daily practice. Every Nigerian citizen deserves a voice that is heard, a vote that counts, and a platform that turns civic engagement into real, measurable impact.

We exist to bridge the gap between citizens and governance. Through daily polls, community-verified civic case reporting, and a transparent rewards system, we empower Nigerians to participate in democracy 365 days a year — not just on election day.

Our Vision: A Nigeria where every citizen is an active stakeholder in democracy, where leaders are held accountable in real time, and where community problems are solved through collective action and verified evidence.

What We Do

Daily Polls

Vote on issues that matter — from national policy to local governance. See how your community compares to the rest of Nigeria.

Civic Case Reporting

Report broken infrastructure, failed public services, and governance gaps with photo evidence and precise location data.

Community Verification

Verify cases reported by others in your area. Collective validation ensures accuracy and prevents false reports.

Civic Rewards

Earn real Nigerian Naira for meaningful civic participation. Your time and engagement have tangible value.

National Civic Map

Visualise civic issues across all 774 LGAs. Track which problems are being solved and which are being ignored.

Verified Democracy

Identity verification via PVC and NIN ensures that every vote and case comes from a real Nigerian citizen.

Our Story

I DEY VOTE was founded in 2024 by a group of Nigerian technologists, policy analysts, and civil society activists who were frustrated with the gap between election cycles and everyday governance. We asked a simple question: What if citizens could hold leaders accountable every day, not just every four years?

What started as a prototype polling app among university students in Lagos quickly grew into a national movement. Within 18 months, I DEY VOTE had users in all 36 states and the FCT, with civic cases leading to real infrastructure repairs, policy changes, and increased government responsiveness.

Today, I DEY VOTE is Nigeria's largest civic engagement platform, combining technology, data, and community power to build a more accountable democracy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is I DEY VOTE affiliated with any political party?

No. I DEY VOTE is a neutral, non-partisan platform. We do not endorse candidates, parties, or political ideologies. Our funding comes from advertising, grants, and civic technology investors — not from political campaigns. All political advertising on the platform is clearly labelled and subject to strict compliance rules.

How is I DEY VOTE funded?

I DEY VOTE is funded through three main channels: (1) Advertising revenue from businesses and political campaigns who want to reach our engaged audience. (2) Grants and donations from international democracy foundations and civic tech investors. (3) Partnership fees from state governments and organisations that use our data and case-routing infrastructure. A portion of all revenue is reinvested into the Rewards Program.

Where is I DEY VOTE based?

I DEY VOTE Technologies Ltd is registered in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020. Our headquarters is at 12 Civic Tower, Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Our servers are hosted in AWS regions across Africa to ensure fast access and data sovereignty compliance.

Can I volunteer or work with I DEY VOTE?

Yes. We run a Civic Ambassador program that trains community leaders to onboard users, verify cases, and promote civic engagement at the grassroots level. We also hire for technical, operational, and community roles. Check our careers page or email [email protected] for current openings.

How does I DEY VOTE ensure data is not manipulated?

We use a multi-layered approach: (1) Identity verification via PVC and NIN ensures one person, one vote. (2) Bot detection algorithms flag suspicious activity. (3) Community verification means cases are confirmed by real people on the ground. (4) Independent audits of our data and algorithms are conducted quarterly. (5) Raw data exports are available to researchers and journalists for independent analysis.

What is the difference between I DEY VOTE and other social platforms?

Unlike general social media, I DEY VOTE is purpose-built for civic engagement. We verify identities, reward constructive participation, fact-check political claims, and route real community problems to the authorities responsible for fixing them. We are not a place for gossip or entertainment — we are a democratic intelligence platform.
